Finally?  I hope so, the first volume of Colfax and Dead is complete. The three novella's work together and provide what I feel is a good story. Now after releasing the first novella to the world a year and half ago, I am adding the other two.

Since some people bought the first novella and took a chance on me, I decided I'd repay them by updating the file so now they have the whole book where previously they just had the first part.

To everyone who took a chance and tried part 1, thank you and I hope you enjoy the rest of the story. To everyone, there is more story to tell, stay tuned.

Colfax and Dead Part 3 chapter 1

I woke up slowly to being shaken. Distantly I could hear, “Daniel wake up, Daniel! Wake up!” The faint voice grew in volume and urgency as I was slowly coming out of my usual sleep coma. Funny I thought the only person who calls me Daniel is my wife or my daughter.


Forcing myself to wake up I opened my eyes to see a young lady shaking me. Her light brown skin was in contrast to the myriad of colors streaking through her hair. For a moment, my wife’s name was on my lips but the memory of her death brought down the tower of hope I had already started building. Colfax and Dead update March 2019

Currently I'm working on a slightly different project and short story. I have an outline for where I want Colfax and Dead to go. The next book will introduce more supernatural elements but it will still be somewhat minimal. As much as I enjoy reading Urban Fantasy where the character encounter tons of magic, part of me thinks there would be no way that world could stay hidden from the normal world.

It will probably be June when I'll start working on it. Hopefully finish around Aug/Sept. A month for beta readers and editing. So as much as I want to tell more of the story it will be near Nov/Dec I think before it will be out. If you want to read it sooner, I'm usually looking for Beta readers. Colfax and Dead Part 3 Chapter 3

A bus helped me get quickly from one side of town to the other. Normally after taking a job I would rest, cash the check and make sure it cleared. Sometimes do a little background research on the person hiring me to ensure I wasn’t being thrown under a bus. This job was different, I could help Karen and while I knew it wouldn’t buy me her love, I’m sure it would ease the tension between us. Perhaps it will help me forgive myself.




Hurrying across town I watched the nightlife along Colfax. The other six people on the bus were probably like myself, living and possibly dying on this street.
